#### **Job Summary:**
The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes and standards in a timely manner. This role involves planning menus, ordering ingredients, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
#### **Key Responsibilities:**
- **Food Preparation:**
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring ingredients.
- Cook food items according to recipes and portion sizes.
- **Menu Planning:**
- Assist in planning menus, including selecting dishes, determining quantities, and estimating food costs.
- Ensure menus meet dietary requirements and customer preferences.
- **Food Safety:**
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
- Monitor food temperatures and storage to maintain freshness and quality.
- **Kitchen Organization:**
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Properly store and label ingredients and leftovers.
- **Quality Control:**
- Inspect food items for quality and freshness.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
#### **Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role is preferred.
- **Skills:**
- Proficiency in cooking techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast- paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a passion for cooking
