Project Manager Senior Electrical Engineer Job

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible, but not limited to, the following duties: DEWA approved is a must !

1. Review concept/ design/ and construction technical documents, the specification for the project and proposed redesign drawing of the electrical system and low currents system without affecting basic system requirement of project and Authority approval.
2. Liaise with MEP Project Coordinator to reduce risks and enhance processes efficiency.
3. Represent company at meetings regarding the project and liaising with Consultant and Local Authority.
4. Follow up on project construction, Engineering and coordination, work progress, changes/ implications, as-built drawings, testing and commission, and project hand.
5. Monitoring progress as per program and initiate corrective steps if required to ensure program goal dates are attained.
6. Monitoring material and drawing submittal log, Electrical risk register, progress report, action list report, program schedule, submission report.
7. Evaluate monthly payment certificate of electrical billing for contractor, Ensure the proposed material are in line with project specification, ESTIDAMA requirements and Authority standard.
8. Ensuring that latest approved drawing and approved material are implemented on-site work execution. Implement electrical procedures according to Authority standard, the quality policy of management.
9. Participate in the management review meetings on progress of work and mitigation of risk register.
10. Raise potential time cost impact report of variation to the Project Manager with liaising to MEP Coordinator.
11. Implementing the requirements ADDC and other local authority with respect to project execution. Perform other duties assigned on an occasional basis by management.
12. Oversee electrical engineering goals and tasks performance, through reviewing and initiating electrical documents including IT and ELV systems, related to project.

The Project Manager will be responsible, but not limited to, the following duties:

1. Lead a team of Construction Management Staff deployed as the main contractor, to manage the project from mobilisation, engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning and handover to the Client.
2. This includes the design and technical submittal reviews; ensuring that quality, time, cost and safety objectives are achieved in a balanced/optimal manner to meet the Client’s needs.
3. Coordination of all engineering, procurement and construction process for the project, all activities including technical review, material and equipment compliance, track progress of the design process, review samples, inspect material and mockups, facilitate submittals for the Client approval process, assist and oversee in the compilation of progress reports, visit and report back on supplier and subcontractor facilities, capabilities and quality for prequalification purpose.
4. Review payment application with respect of progress achieved for the design and construction phases.
5. As a key Client’s representative, manage, review and work with the Client‘s Consultant/s to ensure proper documentation (drawings, specifications, method statements, technical submittals, samples, request for information, request for inspection, daily log by the Contractor…etc.) are being issued by the Consultant and the Subcontractors.
6. Manage the documentation and compilation to provide justification/evidence to support/refute sub-contractor’s claims for cost and time.
7. Manage in the compilation of evidence for Counter Claim against Sub-contractor for poor workmanship and delays.
8. Responsible for the documentation of progress photographs.
9. Responsible for the review of the Consultants’ claims recommendation (time and cost).
10. Establish site procedures for quality, safety, engineering, procurement and construction management.
11. Organise and chair technical workshops to resolve pending technical issues and establish a tracking log to mitigate any potential delays.
12. Establish a risk register to log all potential claims by sub-contractors.
13. Prepare internal and external monthly reports, a monthly summary of project progress.
14. Review all Consultant and Sub-Contractor reports for discrepancies and taking corrective action if necessary.
15. Performing any other duty required by the direct manager
