Head of Digital Marketing & Communications

Al- Futtaim Motors, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Digital Marketing & Communications for the Toyota brand to continue to drive its market position and enhance its ability to engage with the customer across multiple touchpoints both offline and online.

The ideal candidate will have strong digital marketing background that will be applied to developing and implementing an innovative digital marketing and communications strategy driving greater customer connection with the brand and also attracting customers towards experiencing the sales and aftersales journey with Toyota. The jobholder will also be responsible for the strategic positioning of the brand in the market, maximise revenue generation and increase market share in the UAE. In addition, the candidate will be driven by her / his passion for automobiles and the brand which will translate to the innovative and disruptive thinking and ideas that the candidate brings to the table.

The jobholder will have a key impact on Al Futtaim Motors’s (AFM) relationship with Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) with interactions with TMC’s Marketing department. It is crucial to monitor and achieve the best ROI on the various marketing campaigns and spend in conjunction with AFM stake holders whilst managing the relationship with key internal and third parties Marketing agencies.

Job Purpose:

Develop and execute a marketing and communications strategy that creates brand image and drives positioning as the market leader and innovator. Monitoring of consumer behavior, market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products and able to respond quickly to Toyota’s advantage within appropriate competition context

Spearheads the team to keep Toyota on top of the digital trends in the market and drive Digital transformation programs including e- commerce, POS digitization etc. Also Includes creation and upkeep of online assets and development of a content strategy that supports internal and external social media management while monitoring and driving digital KPIs (website sessions, CPL, CTR, CPC etc).

Drive tactical sales & aftersales campaigns through data based decision making that helps widen the revenue generation funnel, building product / model awareness through regular programs as well as manage new product launches and service campaigns.

Ability to tailor messaging and target precise customer base segments while forming innovative ways to connect with customers. Also responsible to create and launch national, regional and branch level events and related brand activations to drive customer traffic

To manage and maximize the output of partner marketing agencies through planning, development, and evaluation of work quality and ensuring optimal agency partner awareness and adoption. Also works collaboratively with internal AF Group marketing departments and the AF Automotive Center of Excellences across the various areas.

Develop a marketing efficiency monitoring system that helps with return of investment tracking, mix media modeling and supports to conduct PDCA (plan- do- check- act). The jobholder is also responsible for the efficient management of the Toyota digital and communications marketing budget in close coordination of the General Manager for Brand & Marketing.

Relationship building with TMC (principal), other distributors in the region, and other internal and external stakeholders, to maximize strategic partnerships, and to secure UAE’s voice of the customer, as well as influence decisions that could affect AFM business.

Manage a team of high performing Marketing professionals specializing in various segments. Continuously developing them to encourage innovative thinking ensuring collaboration with the front- line sales teams and ensuring the voice of the customer is imbedded in every decision taken

Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge:

University Degree in Business Management / Sales & Marketing (Master’s Degree in Marketing preferred)

Minimum 15 years’ work experience in a multinational Sales & Marketing environment in leading Automotive brands or agency servicing the latter

Multi Market experience

Certified in Toyota Way Business Practice is an advantage

Distributor and OEM experience is an advantage

Job- Specific Skills:

Has in- depth knowledge of automotive market trends and the discipline to keep constantly updated through research, market visits, etc.

Excellent analytical and financial skills with the ability to use data to build compelling business cases

Ability to study, analyze and interpret complex activities and/or information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches.

Strong decision- making skills with an eye for strategic enhancement of the business.

Excellent communication and facilitation skills to understand and address issues across multiple disciplines

Strong business acumen and proven leadership abilities engaging with individuals at all levels and across various areas of the organization.

Digital marketing expertise – front and back end, with an expert understanding of digital systems covering websites and social media. Deep understanding of digital analytics and econometrics

B2B sales and After Sales Marketing skill sets is an advantage
