Key Responsibilities:

Childcare Support: Assist in providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children. Help with daily care routines such as feeding, changing, and settling children for naps.

Learning and Development: Support children’s learning through play- based activities. Encourage their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development by providing age- appropriate activities.

Health and Safety: Ensure the children’s safety at all times. Adhere to health and safety guidelines and assist in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.

Observations and Reporting: Observe children’s progress and behavior, making note of any developmental milestones or concerns. Report observations to the lead practitioner or manager.

Parent Communication: Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers, sharing updates about their child’s development, daily activities, and any concerns.

Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team to implement the nursery’s curriculum and ensure smooth day- to- day operations.

General Nursery Duties: Assist with tidying play areas, preparing snacks, and organizing materials and resources for activities.

Key Requirements:

Passion for Childcare: A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to supporting their growth and development.

Experience: Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable but not essential. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications: A childcare qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or an equivalent is preferred. However, applicants with relevant experience and a strong desire to learn will also be considered.

Skills:

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work well within a team.

A proactive and flexible approach to childcare duties.
