Your day to day

Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for you as Purchasing Supervisor to join our enthusiastic team at Crowne Plaza Dubai Dubai- Deira. As the Purchasing Supervisor, you will be responsible for following established procedures in ordering, receiving, storing, distributing and payment of items, Gather supplier information, maintain database of the vendors and keep an updated list of emergency suppliers at all times. Coordinate with vendors- source quotations and arrange site visits in coordination with the departments. Prepare cost comparisons and Quality evaluations, and support the department heads in sourcing best quality materials to drive business and guest satisfaction. Ensure compliance to the IHG Accounting Standards and Standard Operating Procedures of the Finance department. Prepare the Purchasing Reports, Monthly reports, reconciliation reports as required by the Finance & Business Support Manager.

What we need from you

A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a relevant field of work with 2 to 3 years of experience in Purchasing department. You should have sound knowledge of Purchasing system, Accounting principles. Further, you should have good analytical skills, and be stron in the MS Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills, detail- oriented and organized, with the ability to work under pressure of deadlines and ever- shifting priorities in a fast- paced environment. Must be a team player, have strong interpersonal skills, and work well independently as well as part of a team, flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs. Further, you should have strong project management skills with the ability to multi- task and prioritize various projects. Must have strong presentation skills, curious, proactive, and self- motivated. Experience in the hotel industry is preferred.
