A Storekeeper is responsible for managing inventory, receiving and storing goods, and ensuring accurate stock records. They organize storage areas, track stock levels, and prepare orders for shipment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of inventory systems are essential for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and store goods and materials.
Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
Organize and arrange products in storage areas for easy access.
Perform regular stock checks and audits to ensure accuracy.
Issue supplies or materials to departments or customers as needed.
Prepare and process orders for shipment or delivery.
Ensure the storage area is clean, organized, and safe.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for stock replenishment.
Maintain proper documentation for inventory transactions.
Follow health and safety regulations to ensure safe handling of goods.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar inventory management role.
Knowledge of inventory control systems and warehouse management practices.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
Good communication skills for interacting with team members, suppliers, and customers.
Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory software
