Job Summary:

The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the production area, ensuring all equipment and tools are properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use in the preparation of Majama Foods' all- natural vegan ice cream. This role is vital in upholding the company’s high standards of quality and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitation:

Wash and sanitize all kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment after use.

Ensure cleanliness of work surfaces, storage areas, and production zones.

Waste Management:

Properly dispose of waste according to company guidelines.

Segregate recyclable and non- recyclable waste and maintain a clean disposal area.

Maintenance:

Inspect cleaned equipment for damage or wear and report any issues to the supervisor.

Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and stored appropriately.

Support Production:

Assist in organizing and setting up the kitchen for daily production activities.

Ensure a smooth flow of operations by keeping the production area free of clutter.

Compliance:

Follow all food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).

Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and logs for audits.
